Hello!
I am so glad that you have joined me here at Re.defined. This blog is a labor of love, as it stretches my emotions and constantly pushes my journey of healing even deeper. It can be difficult to face the wounds, but it is always worth it. I would love to see as many people find healing and wholeness in Jesus as possible, through this blog and the many other incredible resources out there.
I recently moved to Miami, FL for some sunshine and palm trees. I had lived 29 years of my life in the northeast, so this is quite a change. I ride my bike everywhere, splash in the saltwater as often as possible, and fall in love with a new flower every day. My favorite bench has a stunning view of Biscayne Bay, where I can breathe deep and watch the boats pass by. My ideal day starts with a latte and includes trying somewhere new to eat, biking across the Venetian Islands, lying on the beach, stopping in a store or two to browse, making a delicious dinner at home, and finishing the day with a warm chocolate chip cookie and a good book.
Some passions include lots of outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, exploring cities on foot, stargazing, sitting by any body of water but especially the ocean, long walks on the beach, and admiring nature. Basically, I’m in for anything that lets me breathe fresh air. I also love traveling to new places, doing puzzles, watching funny tv and rom-coms, cooking without recipes, eating dessert, planning parties, reading non-fiction, and trying new tea.
I hold a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling. I also have a Bachelor of Arts in Pastoral Counseling and Children’s Ministry with minors in Social Services and Youth Ministry. I am passionate about seeing people encounter Jesus in a positive, life-giving way through the local and global church. A dream is that every church is a place of health. That those that come in would find healing. That focus would be on expanding personal mental, emotional, physical, and financial health through deep spiritual growth, to support a flourishing community. When I make a church my home, I always try my best to do my part.
Thanks for joining me here at Re.defined and taking the time to get to know me a little better. I always welcome questions about me in the comments!
