Lauren was inspired to create Re.defined after finding freedom in the hard work of healing from a life that didn’t go as planned. She found herself in an abusive marriage that was destructing every last bit of her heart, mind, and soul. Her identity had been shattered, pieces even crushed down to dust, leaving her to feel unrecognizable, unworthy, and beyond repair.
Jesus reminded her that He has worked with dust before; no amount of brokenness is too difficult for His hands.
When faced with the decision of sitting in a pile of broken pieces, or picking them up and making something beautiful, she chose to be Re.defined. This is not intended to be advice on leaving your marriage. It is not intended to replace professional counseling. This is her collection of being in and leaving an abusive marriage. It is her declaration of freedom and her journey of healing.
Already a new creation in Christ, Lauren allowed God to Re.define her pain for purpose. He assured her that His promises did not disappear when she entered her relationship and that He still had every intention of seeing her step into the plans He had for her. Re.defined is a small piece of that purpose.
Each day, she celebrates the grace and goodness of Jesus helping her Re.defined life be better than she could have ever envisioned.
