Dating After Abuse: Jesus, I pray…

Jesus, Thank You that You created us to be relational beings! Thank You for designing a special intimacy to be shared between partners. After being with someone who misused that intention and acted abusively, I pray that You would keep my heart open to the gift of partnership. I pray that You would help me to rebuild trust with myself so that I can be ready to trust others. Jesus, guide me as I place boundaries. Be with me as I have difficult conversations. Keep my eyes open to red flags. I pray that You would give me the confidence to move forward when I have found someone that I feel safe with. Thank You for being faithful to me, standing by my side, never leaving me alone. You are my greatest companion and closest friend.
